Walkers Candy Media Releases

Release: April 2006

Morley-based candy manufacturer Walkers Candy has recruited a new confectioner, adding Ray Edwards to the team.

The 38 year-old’s appointment comes as head confectioner Jeff Stipanicev takes over the role of Managing Director from his wife and co-owner Cassandra Stipanicev.

Cassandra moves into the newly-created position of Business Development Manager.

Jeff and Cassandra Stipanicev acquired Walkers Candy in 2001 and have recently signed a major supply agreement with the Candy Cow, based in Margaret River.

Walkers Candy has expanded its range of hand-made hard boiled sweets to 52 flavours – and the good news for lolly lovers is that all of them are now available in WA stores.

Thanks to a new supply agreement, Walkers Candy’s full range of lollies is now being stocked at Candy Cow stores in Margaret River, Fremantle and Hillarys.

Walkers Candy’s Cassandra Stipanicev said the WA owned and run company had added some exciting flavours such as rhubarb and custard, lavender and chilli choc.

“We have a lot of fun developing and experimenting with new flavours and we’ve had some amazing feedback from customers, so it’s likely we’ll further grow our range in the future,” said Mrs Stipanicev.

The range also boasts fruity summer flavours like mandarin and orange, fruit salad and orange passionfruit.

Walkers Candy also offers a number of sugar-free sweets including peppermint, strawberry, mandarin and orange, fruit salad and eucalyptus.

Their products are made from Australian ingredients wherever possible, and all are gluten free.
